You’ve booked your holiday to Innahura Maldives Resort, an island where the climate is tropical and the vibe is easy going, making your holiday wardrobe choices simple. Take the stress out of packing by following our simple guide on what to wear – this is your opportunity to shine in the ‘packing light’ department!
Daywear
It’s going to be hot, around 30 degrees Celsius throughout the year to be precise, so lightweight, loose-fitting clothing is a must for our equatorial climate. You will spend a lot of time outside, so the ladies will want to pack a few swimsuits, casual summer dresses and tops. A sarong or some sort of a cover-up is a great idea too for when you are walking around the resort, getting a drink from the bar or going to the restaurant. Shorts and light T-shirts or shirts are the order of the day for men.
The sun in the Maldives is harsh; UV-protection rash guards, along with plenty of sun screen (reef-friendly varieties if possible) are a must, especially during water sports, boat excursions, snorkelling, and when lazing by the pool. Sunglasses will be a wardrobe staple!
Leave the high heels at home – our barefoot paradise is mainly sand so we invite you to embrace the natural bliss – flip flops will be all you need. if you’re planning to hit the gym, challenge someone to a game of badminton or kick around with a game of football to compensate for the all-inclusive buffets, remember to pack your training shoes and cool sportswear.
Our housekeeping team will be happy to take care of your laundry (at a small extra cost) so you really can keep your packing to a minimum.
Evening Wear
Evenings in the Maldives are warm, it rarely gets so chilly that you would need to wear a jumper, sometimes there is a welcome breeze, and a light, long sleeved shirt for men, and a light shawl for the ladies will be more than enough. Men often wear tailored shorts or lightweight trousers with T-shirts or short-sleeved, button-down shirts. Cool flowing dresses or shorts with a floaty top are the popular choices for ladies. Remember your special outfit that sums up tropical beach life – you’ll want to wear it if you have a professional photo shoot on the beach!
Casual tropical is the vibe but at Innahura ‘Life is Easy’ and you can simply be yourself, so pretty much anything goes!
