Maldives’ Must-Dos: Diving and Snorkelling
A holiday in the Maldives without diving or snorkelling is not complete! Given that 99% of the archipelago is water, a whole ocean of surprises awaits beneath the surface. The Indian Ocean is known for its vibrant coral reefs, idyllic lagoons and warm temperature, making your holiday at Innahura an obvious opportunity to give diving and/or snorkelling a try.
Whether you’re new to the activity or an avid snorkeller or diver, travelling solo or with your partner, family or adventurous friends, you’ll regret it if you don’t spend at least a little bit of time underwater.
There is a good chance you’ll be able to see all of the Maldives’ marine life highlights in just a couple of diving or snorkelling trips: turtles, rays and reef sharks. While there are no guarantees in the ocean, our snorkel and dive guides are guaranteed to take you to the very best sites based on the ocean and weather conditions, plus provide lots of insights into marine life, and fabulous company too!
The area around Innahura is still largely unexplored, adding another bonus to the experience. Having said that, while we may know dozens of coral reefs in Lhaviyani Atoll already, we have discovered quite a few new ones around the resort (like this one, the amazing Turtle Rock) and there is still plenty to be discovered, giving Innahura a special allure. If you want to awaken the explorer in you, this is the island to do it!
