Here, life is easy
The Innahura Smiles series wouldn’t be complete without putting a spotlight on another beautiful smile, bright personality and great asset to the team – Abdulla Shareef, Director of Operations at Innahura Maldives Resort.
Shareef, from Funadhoo in Shaviyani, has been a jack of pretty much all trades within the Crown & Champa Resorts collection. Having gained knowledge and experience as Guests Services Manager, Reservations Manager, Food & Beverage Operations Manager, Executive Housekeeper and Front Office Manager, entrusting him the role of Director of Operations was an easy choice. Shareef is also proud of his diploma in hotel management, advanced diploma in digital marketing and bachelors degree in international hospitality. His expertise, friendliness and attention to detail are what is essential at any resort, and even more so at one that has yet to earn its place among the country’s most popular ones.
Shareef describes Innahura as ‘a slice of untouched paradise’ and points out the island’s huge turquoise lagoon that glimmers under the sun as Innahura’s catchiest feature, together with the resort’s concept of offering guests unpretentious, easy experiences with an emphasis on authenticity and local heritage.
And it is exactly this clean, unfussy concept of the resort that allowed Shareef to channel his creativity, love of art and passion for smart technology – he created a few original designer pieces of furniture and lights at the resort, using a lot of reclaimed wood and other locally sourced materials. You’ll get to admire the very best pieces in our restaurants and bars.
At Innahura, life is easy. This concept gave me an excellent playground to tap into nature’s elements and create designs that are environmentally friendly and look amazing. Making the operation as sustainable as it gets is of course of utmost importance and I look forward to making Innahura even more in sync with nature over the coming years.
