Message from the General Manager – July 2023
Dear guests,
Sunny greetings from Innahura Maldives! The spotlight has been on the environment during June with World Environment Day and World Oceans Day both having been celebrated at the resort and anyone who has spent time here will know what worthy causes they are. The Maldives environment, both above and below the water is a true natural treasure and it’s imperative that it’s protected for future generations. Strolling along the shoreline barefoot, gazing at the endless blues on the horizon, not to mention the incredible snorkelling and diving amongst an abundance of marine life, are moments in life that are rarely forgotten. Spending time surrounded by nature, whether on land, or in the ocean, is good for the soul – that’s why you feel so alive and incredible an after a holiday at Innahura!
A lot of our team, some of our guests and, of course, our local community recently celebrated Eid ul-Adha, one of the holiest holidays of the Islamic calendar. We would like to wish Eid Mubarak to all our friends and family across the world who celebrated this holy festival. Later this month, on 26th July, Maldives Independence Day will celebrate 58 years of independence.
Although the festive season may seem like a long way off, the Innahura team has been busy planning for the merriest time of the year and we will soon be able to share a sneak preview of the planned events with you so do keep an eye on our blog. If you feel like a change from the usual routine this year, now is a good time to block Christmas and New Year out on your calendar and send a message to friends and family, something like this perhaps: ‘No turkey for us this year, we will be spending the festivities in the Maldives!’
As we move towards the long school summer holidays, our younger guests will visit and embrace all that a holiday at Innahura provides – hours of sunshine, playing on sugar soft sand and splashing in the crystal-clear lagoons. Kids of all ages, including the young at heart, can easily spend their entire stay soaking up the beach life but, don’t miss all the other incredible opportunities available – snorkelling, sunset cruises, fishing, sandbank excursions, water sports and scuba diving will all add to your Innahura experience and make your holiday one to remember, as well as one that will be requested to be repeated! If you haven’t already done so, please download the handy Innahura App – you can browse all the things there are to do, and once you have a confirmed reservation, you can even book your activities and create you very own bespoke holiday itinerary.
If booking a holiday is on your ‘to-do’ list, now is the time to do just that – we have some great special offers for different times of the year including this summer with 30% off (extended and bookable until 15th July!), during the Maldives’ high season, over winter, with 25% discount and the chance of Mantas too, or be an early bird and catch 25% discount for Summer 2024 – the choice is yours.
I look forward to greeting you at Innahura soon, next season or even next year!
Sunny wishes,
Jorge Amaro
